What do you link to Sweden? Battle of Poltava, ABBA group, Swedish family or Swedish wall? And it is the birthplace of Anna Johansson, a doctor who made a real revolution in nutrition, having devised such a diet as the "6 Petal Diet".
The essence of the diet
You can calm down immediately, you do not have to eat six petals exclusively per day, the diet is more varied and, in principle, does not include eating flowers. Although Dr. Johansson promises that you can lose 5 kg in a week on his diet, which seems like an incredible result.
One petal is one day of the diet, when you can only eat a certain amount of one type of food. The sequence of days is important, so you can even draw a flower for yourself with six petals, write on each menu and serial number, and follow the recommendations strictly.
By the way, this is the convenience of this diet. No need to guess what to eat. You clearly know your diet for the next few days.
This is a coin diet, to some extent, but the body does not have time to get used to one type of food and switch to an energy saving mode. In addition, studies have shown that coin diets lasting less than a day are the most effective for burning fat.
Fruits in this diet are achieved through protein-carbohydrate exchanges and a reduction in the number of calories consumed. You eat one type of food every day and do not mix proteins with carbohydrates, allowing you to break down fats in a more efficient way.
How you can cook food
Food can be boiled, stewed, baked or steamed, but frying or adding oil is strictly prohibited. In addition, the author recommends limiting coffee consumption to 1-2 small cups per day. Of course, no sugar. In his opinion, it is better to drink tea or mineral water without gas in a volume of at least 1. 5 liters per day. But in no case should liquid food be drunk, only 30 minutes before a meal or an hour later.
And so that the feeling of hunger does not drive you away, divide all the food into 4-5 receptions. And you don't have to stick to fixed periods. Want to eat? They went and ate some. Well, or drink green tea.
You can stick to the diet for two weeks in a row. But don’t forget to take at least a two-week break before the next attempt.
With all this, the diet is contraindicated:
- Pregnant;
- breastfeeding mothers;
- With diseases of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, heart, endocrine system (especially diabetes);
- With anemia;
- With infections or immediately after illness;
- Worse for any chronic disease.
And yet, while this is not a direct contraindication, it will be difficult for you to follow such a diet if you work out. Therefore, it is best to save on vacation.

seventh petal
No, this is not an optical illusion. And, yes, you read the name of the diet correctly. There are actually six petals and you have to exchange six types of diet, but there is something as important as quitting the diet. The day you realize you can do anything.
The main thing on this day is not to relax so much that you get back half of what you lost. Someone recommends a gradual departure and currently recommends eating only those foods that you ate on a diet, only slightly increasing their portions.
Proponents of radical methods say the way is not easy for us and recommend spending the seventh day exclusively on water. Which of these two options do you like the most - choose for yourself.
Of course, you can just wave your hand and re-enter the world of delicious cakes.
Why diet is good
Will this diet help you if you decide to lose weight? Sure Yes, the Swedes did their best. If you try, you will lose weight 0. 6 - 0. 9 kg per day.
Can you survive without breakdowns? Positive response too. The diet is quite simple and allows you to eat a lot without looking at a piece of bread with nostalgia and nostalgia.
However, for all its effectiveness, "6 petals" still does not solve the problem of your diet in the future. Six days of the diet will go on, and you will return to your normal diet again, and it will return the lost kilograms to you already. So, even if you are on this diet, it is best to see it as an opportunity to take a step towards a healthier future.
